These are all pretty thick limbs that fell on the house. Luckly we didnt have any serious damage to the house, but we did get another limb about the same size the next day. The crazy thing was no one new that this wind storm was going to hit, and it only lasted about 2 hours...
This is tree #3, I think someone had already chopped it up for firewood.
This was tree #2 across the road. You had to drive in the ditch to get around it, this was before the road crews showed up and there was just that lonely cone. It only took them about 1 min to chop it up.

My Peace Corps Timeline
March 2009- Submitted online application and health questionnaire
April 2009- Get legal packet, fingerprints, and schedule interview. Interview goes well, but miss nomination cycle for that quarter, recruiter says may not be able to leave until summer 2010. Bummer.
May 2009- Move back to Seattle from DC. Recruiter says I missed the nomination cycle again, won't leave until Fall 2010. Arrrrggg.
Late-May 2009- Recruiter is able to fit me in, and I get nominated for the Health Extention, Sub-Saharan Africa leaving May 2010.
June 2009- Recieve medical packet in the mail, start to make my appointments. Send in Dental portion of packet. Two weeks later cleared dentally.
July 2009- The medical packet from hell. Get all my test done, paper work all filled out, doctor goes on vacation! Must wait two weeks for final signatures. My friend leaves for his Peace Corps posting in Zambia.
August 2009- Finally send in medical pack.
September 2009- Medical, Dental, and Legal clearence. Im all set to go. Now its just the waiting game.
November 2009- Get my HIV/AIDs educaiton certifications from the Red Cross.
Early-January 2010- Finally hear from my placement officer, send in updated resume. Start volunteering at an AIDs non-profit.
Late-February 2010- PATIENTLY WAITING to hear where I am going.
Late-March 2010- switched from Africa, to South/Central America, Invite in the mail
27 March 2010- Invited to serve as a Community Health-HIV/AIDS Education volunteer in Ecuador leaving June 15 2010! (Accepted invite via email the same day).
